I'm finding the new taskbar very usable but it is quite similar to the OS X dock which may explain it. Win 7 is such a massive improvement and I am surprised at the performance when running in a VirtualBox VM with it's image on an external drive. OSX86 - I have been there and it is way more trouble than it's worth I found. Great idea but the experience detracts from the appeal somewhat. I have no problem with running windows but I do own a lot of mac software which does what I like and how I like it. Doubtless there are windows equivalents but I has paid me money and made me choice for the mostpart. We will see anyway.

Noooo! I hate those dumb netbook things with all my heart. Yeah, they're cute and tiny, but having owned one I just can't deal with having all my years of perfect touch typing skill thrown out the window by a keyboard that is frankly, on Asus' machines, crap quality, too small and has the wrong layout.

Re: OS - I think OSX86 runs on the Dell Mini 9. Windows 7 meanwhile is shiny and surprisingly fast on a low-spec machine, but the new taskbar still confuses me - I'm sticking with Server 2008.

Hope you're well!

Great (random) post! Until recently I was very much an anti-appleite and, despite still hating macs and the IPhone with very strand of bone and skin and whatever in my body, I love my IPod Touch - its Usability, its games, its interface, its compatability - all great!!

I disagree on the netbook front - I have and love my Samsung NC10, and I wouldn't swap it for the world!!
